Laborers’ Local #32, an affiliate of Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), Laborers’ Midwest Region, and the Great Plains Laborers’ District Council, is a diverse, independent and progressive union of construction craft laborers dedicated to the success, safety, and welfare of its members, apprentices, partners and community.
Proudly representing more than 750 current and retired laborers in Winnebago and DeKalb counties, Laborers’ Local #32, aims to help its members earn a living wage and receive good benefits that provide the opportunity for advancements and create better lives for them and their families.

We can support you with an apprenticeship program or information on organizing a union in your workplace.
We are looking for motivated individuals interested in applying for our apprenticeship program. We provide advanced classroom and on the job training designed to help our apprentices acquire the skills and knowledge needed to be successful.

Laborers’ Local 32 is a diverse, autonomous and effective union of construction craft laborers dedicated to the success, safety and welfare of its members, apprentices, partners and the community at large. We represent more than 750 current and retired laborers in Winnebago and DeKalb counties.
Laborers’ Local #32 members participated in the annual Labor Day parade. The organization has been providing qualified skilled workers for over 100 years and continues to be a driving force towards bettering the community and we are proud to serve Winnebago and DeKalb Counties.
This past summer, members of Laborers’ Local #32 partnered with Northwest Illinois Building Trades to build a basketball court for a local child battling Aplastic Anemia. The project was organized through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Local #32 and its business partners are dedicated to supporting the communities they serve.
Local #32 is launching a Volunteer Organizing Committee (VOC) to help in coordinating community events for the union and its members. Meetings will be held the first Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. starting in January at the hall. All members are welcome to join. Call 815-873-8875 for more information.
